Aleck Morton is a highly sought after editor and illustrator. His creativity in and outside the edit suite has led him to work on a wide variety of productions in television across a 18 year career starting in London and crossing over to Melbourne 10 years ago.
Originally from a fine art background, he moved into editing high end commercials, short films, animation and music videos but now specialises in long form documentary and factual programming. His recent work has included the Emmy award winning comedy special Hannah Gadsby's Nanette, ABC's Hard Quiz, Grand Designs Australia, his own ABC doco-series Housemates and What Could Go Wrong?, as well as helping out on features Oddball and Mystify.
When he’s not locked away in a dark windowless edit suite he turns his doodles into full blown illustrations that have featured in his first picture book [Allen the Alien by Stephanie Ward [Yellow Brick Books]], animations [Covid Nursery Rhymes by Kitty Flanagan [ABC’s The Weekly] and his own Lockett] prints and various places around the internets [Pictoplasma Missing Link project].
